Michelle Steven - Appointed Member

Michelle Steven, maiden name Stevens, was one of 15 young women initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc on February 22, 1991 on the campus of Tuskegee University, Theta Beta Chapter.

Michelle transferred to Kingsborough Community College, CUNY in the autumn of that year and continued to spread the knowledge and good deeds of Zeta Phi Beta. During the course of her stay in New York, she assisted Delta Alpha Zeta, Brooklyn Graduate chapter, reinstate Omicron Beta, the undergraduate Brooklyn Metropolitan Chapter. The chapter was revived with three new members and two existing members of the sorority. Post Kingsborough graduation, Michelle then matriculated at Howard University to complete her studies and became active with Alpha Chapter. In Alpha Chapter, she served as the chapter treasurer and secretary.

With another degree under her belt, Michelle relocated back to New York and transferred into Delta Mu Zeta, Manhattan Graduate Chapter. Since joining Delta Mu Zeta, Michelle has served the Sorority on the National, Regional, State and local levels. She has served as the National public relations consultant/liaison for the Atlantic Region, the Director of Media & Public Relations for the Atlantic Region, the executive assistant to the New York State Director, the public relations officer and first vice president for the chapter. In addition to her offices held, she has also been honored by the chapter with a Zeta Appreciation Award in 2002 and a Zeta of the Year award in 2005.

Currently, Michelle is the committee chair for the chapter handbook and sits on the Finer womanhood, community service and membership committees.
