Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc is the first Sorority among the traditional Black Greek lettered sisterhoods to establish auxiliary groups. These groups are representatives of the organization on the elementary, middle and high school levels, in addition to professional women. In this capacity, they assist the women of Zeta in promoting our principles.

members of Delta Mu Zeta.
Amicae - Women who have not attended college, but have an interest in assisting Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. with activities in our local communities.
Currently there are over 175 Amicae groups in the USA. The Zeta Amicae of Manhattan Auxiliary was founded in 1961 by Zetas Catherine and Albertina Thomas and is sponsored by Delta Mu Zeta. The chapter was chartered February 7, 1962 and two of the original charter members are still active today: Amicae Grace Clark and Hazel Jackson. There are currently 10 active members in the chapter who work tirelessly volunteering their time with the Dwelling Place soup kitchen, the Red Cross, and various other organizations and causes. The Amicae of Manhattan have been actively involved in the Harlem community since their inception and also have incorporated Zeta’s national service campaign Z-HOPE into their roster of activities. At the 2005 Zeta Atlantic Regional Conference, the Amicae of Manhattan were honored for their outstanding work in Z-HOPE throughout the region. The Zeta Amicae of Manhattan Auxiliary serves our community with dignity, honor, & grace. Delta Mu Zeta Archonettes
Archonettes of Delta Mu Zeta Chapter
In the past three years our Archonettes have participated and volunteered in fundraising walks, tutoring/mentoring at Countee Cullen Community Center in Harlem, NY and conducted workshops for their peers to help them further develop into productive members of society. The Archonettes also work very closely with Delta Mu Zeta to excute Z-HOPE projects that speak to our local youth community.
For the 2006-2007 sorority year, the Archonettes of Delta Mu Zeta have set a goal to raise enough money to be the first Archonette group in Zeta to purchase a water well in Ghana, West Africa under the Z-HOPE initiative.
The Archonettes are productive teenagers in local communities who grow into productive adults in our society. Positive female youth are STILL around. They are on the move and up and coming, they are ARCHONETTES! For Archonettes membership, please contact their Zeta advisors Scheria Keith and Kathy Walcott at archonettes@deltamuzeta1950.org
